Tameside One Library

Our connection with the library has grown throughout the year and gone from strength to strength.

We have been part of the Summer Reading Challenge each year and we have been lucky enough to have Joyce from the library introducing it. We have now organised class trips that each year group regularily attends, collects and returns their own reading book.

Most of our children are now registered at the library which has encouraged our families to take the time to visit Tameside One and take part in the community events that they hold there.

Library Committee Conference 2022

This year our library committee have got into full swing. We have been working very hard as a group to spread the love for reading at St Peter's even more!

We are KS2 children who love to read and we want to share this joy with others.

We have joined with a group of like-minded children across Tameside to form one big library committee sharing great ideas for our libraries as well as the authors and genres we love to read.

Here we are at our first conference deciding what we need to do next in school.
